Welcome to the Chinese Boxing Academy

The school is an Internal martial arts school in the Baltimore suburb of Catonsville Maryland. Of the three main internal systems of Chinese Martial arts, Baguazhang (Pa Kua Chang), Tai Chi and Xíngyìquán, the Chinese Boxing Academy emphasizes the Baguazhang (Pa Kua Chang) of Park Bok Nam and Yang Family Tai Chi. SHIFU Hatza has extensive training in Xíngyìquán as well and the principles are taught when applicable.

Chi Gong (or Qi Gong), the word itself means to work (move) energy. By increasing your chi circulation you can strengthen your body to fight off disease and other problems that may occur from aging. Martially, the increase in chi circulation may help the martial artist develop power for internal strength and striking.

The system of chi gong we teach has a main focus in organ health. Keeping healthy organs is paramount throughout life. The twisting, bending and squatting in our exercises is designed to stimulate, increase chi, blood and fluid circulation in the organs. Contracting and relaxing movements help to eliminate stress in the organ system and relax the organs for optimum energy circulation and function. Additionally, in our chi gong, we emphasize total joint and muscle articulation for increased energy and health in the skeletal and nervous systems.

Power circulation of chi energy through the exercises taught at the Chinese Boxing Academy; provide deep saturation to all the major meridians (energy pathways in the body) and sub pathways and down to the cellular level for maximum health and power.

Our chi gong is a two sided coin. The benefits reach both the health enthusiast and the martial artist. A quality long life is a goal for both, we must hold back father time. Through dedicated practice, one will be on the path of attaining longevity with quality. That’s all we can ask for in our life cycle.
